A few weeks ago I met one of the seven grand children of Howard Pyle at Stonegates, what a pleasant suprise! I would never have guessed!

5 MORE WEEKS TILL SUMMER!

Folks, 5 more weeks till summer!!
I have been running around as usual, but I am looking forward for the ASE (ANNUAL STUDENT EXHIBITION)in MAY, which probably is the busiest time in the year for PAFA. ASE is an important occasion for both the school and students. Many MFA students are counting on this opportunity to show the results of their hard work to the general public and the kind arms of the galliries. Us first year students only get to voulunteer for the installation, (too bad?) Not entirely! This is a great chance for us to get some practical experience for our own shows in the future, plus we also get to meet people as well--NET WORKING!:)

My CE class is going quit well. It's a little sad for me that we have only 2 more weeks left. This weekend I am taking the class to the mall for some old fashion sketching.

A few weeks before school ends, I have been running around like a headless fly. Anyway, here are something to show about the stuff that I have been doing for print making and intaglio class.

PAFA

Here is a few photographes of the Hamilton building, which is right across the street from the HLB bulding of the Pennsylvania Academy Of The Fine Arts. I am still amazed by the art collections everytime I pass through the sculpture hall.

CLASS IN SESSION

This painting was started last Thurthday, I found again, the hardest thing for me is not to concern with the figure so much and rather focus on value and temprature. "Painting is not simply matching color but rather understanding the relationship of the value" I have been told about it ever since I started school at PAFA. It seems easy but I find it diffcult to follow sometimes. I takes one thousand painting to be suck I guess :)
