Odd Nerdrum PAFA Work Shop 2010 (UPDATED)

Fellow Nerdrum geeks :) the Odd Nerdrum workshop continues into its 3rd (and last) day at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, my undergrad school. Among the people who signed on to the program, there are also spectators, visitors,mostly students.

I feel like I have a lot to say, but you'll be the judge for now.

PS: You, the person who stole Odd's painting rags, you should be ashamed, because you will not be able to paint better, and you have permanently damaged the trust between the visiting artist and art students :( Odd would have given it to you if you just ask. We know who you are. Why can't some people understand, admitting to something takes guts, yes, but how else can you fix something that otherwise would have been lost forever, like- trust? Now no one would leave their things out, fearing it would get stolen too. You can choose to come forward or leave the rags discreetly in the studio.

Self Portrait In Progress + ODD NERDRUM WORKSHOP 2010

For this self-portrait I used a very limited palette:

Transparent Red Oxide+ Cold Black+Titanium White

I find that often I am confused over stocking pigments (especially prismatic ones). Dealing with local flesh color can be tricky, if one isn't entirely confidant about the subject. I'm not confidant, in fact in painting, unless I'm making something up out of my head, I never have an idea of what I am doing with my locals...

Lately life has been very busy...I'm focusing on both my life and my family's lives, after all, they are inseparable to a person. Now you'll have my undivided attention :>
P.S: Our dear friend, Dame Steph is officially married to Sir Ben, now "Mr. & Mrs "Steben" :) Thank you both for inviting us to the lovely ceremony (just Wagamama itself is worthy of the trip) and please do get a room, can't stand all the kisses! :)
On another note, dear BB, got your email. I'm saddened to what might have possibly happened to your act of good heart and kindness :( Don't give up just yet, I'm still keeping an eye out for it :)
