Crankee pants was created for illustrating my childhood stories. For as long as I can remember I was a extremly energetic child. I guess you would call me 'ADD" or "ADHD" or whatever the word they use on children don't stop acting up. I was always in some kind of trouble,too. Altough many years have past I still can recall the silly things I did or how frustrated people were because of my "bad behavior". However I have never regret of being a "bad" child, because I was just simply having fun :}

The final version of the figure drawing on toned paper. I touched it up a bit by adding some more high lights and creating a clear patterend background, so she doesn't appear flaoting or competing the back ground.






It's really hard to believe we are almost at that time of the year again. I am still waiting for PAFA to get back at me about my application.

THANKSGIVING POST

Hey folks...I have not been updating often enough lately :(
Here is a painting that I am working on for the PAFA portfolio day. It is also my first attemp on painting portrait. IT'S NOTHING BUT HARD!!!!! (and joy, sometimes)

FALL

Here is the painting I did last week. It's not quit finished, it still needs some work. My biggest headache came from trying to capture the massive details of trees. First I put too much paint on it and just looked super-flat in comparison to the simple yet clear shaped cars. Eventually I had to wipe out a large portion of the paint then start over...When it is finished I will put it up :D

No figure drawing this week...In the past week I have been working on my portfolio for PAFA. Painting is a lot of fun although it can be very frustrating. In order to paint portrait I did some sketches of a couple of nursing home residents. I am also close to finish my best landscape so far..yeah >:)
