All Natural Pigmentation :)

I had mentioned earlier that I was not going to use anymore medium and cadmium pigment. As much as it's inconvenient and a pain in the ass for an easily seen frustrating scenario, it's worth the cause. The two panels are painted on small 6''x6'' Mylar, mounted on wood panels. The imagery (obviously not from life) were based on photos I took in Tibet. All my large paintings are almost finished, now just small stuff need to be taken care of. I am tired, sleepy and starving all the time, but I'm not cranky :) I am looking forward to taking a nice vacation in July, so nothing else matters :D

Finishing the unfinished business

If you remember, I started this painting last September. In the mist of my final rush to finish stuff, this painting was put aside, because I had ran into some creative blockage...
Now I am finishing it for the student exhibition (ASE) and it's going well. I was inspired by a fellow blogger, who has been very very kind and supportive to my blog, and is very nature& environmentally conscious, after seeing many post on his blog I decided to make some changes to the painting. The bird in the older version, was a dead bird, now I am making it alive and standing, adding more connection to the woman in fur. I hope to finish this painting in time, despite the good weather outside...:0)

ASE Ready

This is a 6' 1/2 x 3' 1/2 I'm getting ready for the upcoming ASE. Just in case you wonder, there is no meaning behind the painting as many of my other paintings do possess some symbolic relationships and dynamics. It's simply a double portrait. If there is anything, it's love- guilty as charged :)

ART IS DEAD, JESUS IS ALIVE!

Why do people at my school think Conceptual Art is so "cool" and representational art so "nerdy"? ?
