LOST

02.02.2010

For those who are dying for Feb 2nd, 2010 to come, your salvation is almost here :) Click here to see the events in chronological order. No matter what the ending would be, there will be (hopefully) an answer. The twisted, the desperate, the honest and the dishonest will join together and the drama will continue. I am going to sit back, grab some pop corn and enjoy all the twist and turns :p
P.S: The lady (Or ladies?) Lied her way into Dharma ville. Would she continue to have her way by imposing something she is not? Perhaps, a honest person? Would her tears buy her out of problems this time? Regardless, life will never be the same for these victims.

Left VS Right

I am working on exercising the equilibrium between left and the right hand, it's been very interesting. My right hand works stronger contour, while my left hand works more diligent, less idealistic lines. The similarity between drawing and piano playing, to me, is the eyes see what is in front of us and the brain processes it. For artist, the brain sends signal to whoever are more eager to take the job, which would be the right hand to most of the people. To a musician, particularly a piano player, often both hands are required to play a piece, therefore both hands are well trained in order to collaborate in the get-go of our training. However, the information is in our brain, not our hands. I believe everyone should be able to write with both left and right hand, with a little training, you can easily operate and switch hands, imagine how cool that would be :)

With Right hand (Very stronger lines, almost suffocating)

With left hand (much softer, more sensitive)

Portrait in progress...

I've been working on this painting since...let's just say after the summer.... It's been going quite well, by well I meant frustrating and exciting. I am still working on correcting the proportion of the figure's face to the rest.
A very good friend of ours is going to start a portrait of us; most importantly, we get to have a copy of it and to be the actual subject :) Wheeeee!

Two Lawyers In A Chinese Restaurant...(series?)

One time I went to a Chinese Restaurant with a friend. At the end of our meal, I offered to open his fortune cookie for him, since I had already finished mine . He insisted on doing that him on his own, saying otherwise it wouldn't be "his correct fortune". So he did eventually open his fortune cookie, except- it happened to be one of the million fortune cookies that did not get a "fortune slip". Ha! So much for his "correct" fortune!

More on pastel

This is a revisit on a familiar subject that I have worked on once before. I am fascinated by the shapes of the randomness of the two objects and the result by different arrangements. Anyway, I am sure we can all find stuff like these around us.

From "Up In the Air" to New Year's Resolution

Up in the Air is a 2009 American comedy-drama film directed by Jason Reitman and co-written by Reitman and Sheldon Turner. It is a film adaptation of the 2001 novel Up in the Air, written by Walter Kirn. The story is about a corporate downsizer and his travels. It follows his isolated life and philosophies along with the people that he meets along the way...

Firing people over the internet may sound outrageous and insulting , but what could be better than an internet downsizing for an Internet stalking Ass?

Our #1 New Year's Resolution- Stay hired.

Happy 2010 to a fellow blogger and all :)
