Gesture Drawings

If I were to teach a drawing class I'd make my student do as much gestural drawings as possible, it's one of the most important things for figure drawings...wish I could do more!

This one is for fun, doodling in anatomy class :)

    Work.a.holic!

Time has been cheating us--last time I checked there was still a year to stretch, now we are looking at May right in the eye -- how did that even happen??  The past two years have been both fun, challenging and at times, heart wrenching. It's hard to be working as an emerging professional, looking for jobs post graduate and deal with other personal distractions.  (Thank god the worst part is coming to an end soon, but not soon enough. )

On another interesting note, I'm writing a play called   "AT THE END OF THE DAY"  for the Philadelphia Fringe Festival.  The play is inspired by David Hare's "The Breath of Life" premiered in Philadelphia in 2010.

    RECENT STUFF AND BIRTHDAY WISH

Recent anatomical class drawings.  These are some 2 minutes gesture drawings which I always enjoyed doing, then a longer pose..hopefully I will be teaching in the Fall, fingers crossed..!

On another note, last year I wished to make peace with people whom I have burdened.  Well, I thought instead of wishing and do nothing, I should take the "active approach". ( That went no where as expected). This year, I wish to unburden myself from the "conundrum".  People are free to love you, hate you, talk about you and be jealous of you, that's life.  As much as from the inside of my heart that I very much want to see feuds forgiven, broken relationships rebuilt, sometimes it just won't happen...

    Recent Sketches

Had a great day at the Met last weekend.  Independent study then lunch with my NYAA ladies.  Sadly my first painting "the dancer" is apparently started to crack on the surface, the primer being too thick seems to be the problem here. (Got the roll from Pearl)  I have decided to take Steven Assael's suggestion to repaint the whole thing.
