Thin oil, rather. Sometimes I use just a little too much of medium with oil paint to quickly establish the figure, and that creates a sort of "water color" like effect with enough light showing through, making paint layering easy for the future. Thanks for the comment, Pablo :)
Wow these painting came out fantastic. The backgrounds came out really nice. The first one is my Fav. What medium is this? Watercolor?
