Story board 1/8 draft. This is something I've been brewing for a long time...
In the past I have posted a few cartoon regarding the vain use of fur.
I'm in the process of producing a 8 page mini story comic about people who buy furs for vanity reasons, and their failed attempt to appear affluent to others. Women who have to have "Tiffany" diamond rings and multiple fur coats not only expose a lack of affluence and confidence -- something cannot be worn outside or bought from a boutique, but also a crude reflection upon their daily value system.
As I was looking for references, this image came up. This seemingly comical image belongs to a blog somewhere on the net which dedicates its entire capacity to "Women in furs".

Why do people these days fail to recognize the sheer beauty and loveliness of an elderly face ?
And do they really think that covering up their backs with the skin of a poor animal will make them look better ?

ReplyDeleteI'm not against the use of furs, as long as it is required to survive. I haven't seen many people who own or wear them needing them to live, like the Icelandic and Eskimos. Frankly I think women who has to have expensive accessories are an insult to the rest of the women population. I once had a infamous woman in her 50's, who had a quite bit of history with alcohol control and drug use, suggestion that her solution to solving a life crisis is "why not buy a sports car?" Obviously,she drives a sports car, and obviously, she would need more than a sports car to solve her life crisis in the future.
